News Update, Ramnagar: The door of the famous Maa Garjiya Devi temple of Uttarakhand opens from Friday for devotees.  Devotees will be able to visit Garjiya Devi as per the guidelines of Covid-19 from 08:00 AM in the morning to 04:00 PM in the evening. On Thursday, Kuber Singh Adhikari, president of the Garjiya Temple Committee, said that due to Corona pandemic, the doors and premises of the Garjiya temple were closed on April 24.

The shops in the temple premises were also closed due to Corona. People are expressing their desire to open the Garjiya Devi temple when the corona infection subsides. Just a few days ago, there was a meeting between the temple committee, priest, shopkeeper etc. There was a consensus regarding the opening of the temple on 16th July.  The temple managing committee informed that the all preparations have been completed and we implement extra effort to follow Covid -19 protocol in the premises.

According to the protocols of Covid-19, the doors of the temple will be opened from 08:00 AM in the morning. Devotees will be able to do darshan of the deity till 4 PM. People will see the Shiva cave from a distance. Located at a distance of just 14 kilometres from Ramnagar city; famous Garjia Devi Temple falls within the Garjiya Village on the outskirts of the Jim Corbett National Park in Nainital districts of Uttarakahnd.
