Here’s Good News for Wildlife Explorers! Corbett National Park to Open New Safari Zone from November 15

News update:  There’s is good news for wildlife explorers and visitors as Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand is set to open new tourism zone for the public from 15 November. Advance online booking has begun for Corbett’s new tourism zone which is opening for Day Safari. Now tourists will be able to book in advance for this new zone. From November 1^st booking for new tourism zone will begun. Girija is new safari zone being added which will be soon available for tourists for enjoying safari. So far tourism safari zone in Corbett National Park include Bijrani, Jhirna, Dhela, Durgadevi, Sitabani and Pakhro. Being a limited safari seats, the Corbett administration has opened the Girija tourism zone for tourists. During peak tourism season many wildlife lovers get disappointed as they do not get chance to enjoy safari. However, the practice of opening new zone was pending for a long time.

The new safari zone will generate employment opportunity to local gypsy owners, drivers, guides, besides providing revenue to the government. Park Warden RK Tiwari told that from November 1, tourists will be able to make advance booking for Safari in Girija Tourism Zone. This zone will be open to tourists like Dhela and Jhirna tourism zones throughout the year. Safari will be conducted in two shifts Morning and Evening and 30 -30 gypsies will be allowed in each shift separately.
