Safari to be started in Corbett National Park’s New Tourism Zone Ringora from November 15

News Update: Tourist visiting Corbett National Park will not have to be disappointed due to the safari seat not available or booking being full. In view of the increasing trend of tourists, the new Ringora Zone in Corbett will start for safari from November.

In the recent years it has been observed that the number of domestic as well as foreign tourists travelling to Corbett Park has increased. This is the reason why the existing tourism zones of the park are also falling short. Given the increasing number of tourists, a need was felt to open a new zone in Rigonda. In the meeting held under the chairmanship of Forest Minister Harak Singh Rawat, instructions were given to officials to make Ringora a new zone. Corbett administration has also received permission from Chief Wildlife Advocate Dehradun in this regard.

Ringoda Tourism Zone will be opened to tourists from November 15 next month. In this zone, 15-15 gypsies will go for safari in the morning and evening shifts. Hoteliers, gypsy owner, driver, guide are also excited with the opening of new zones. New tourism zone will help in promoting tourism in Corbett. CTR Director Rahul said that from November 15, Ringoda Zone will also come into existence. Preparations like making roads, routes are in progress. This new zone is being opened in Corbett’s buffer area.
