Corbett National Park now open. Gates of the five ranges opened for the first time in the monsoon season
News update: The Jim Corbett National Park and Tiger Reserve opened on Tuesday (June 29) for round the year tourism. This is the first time that the park has been opened for tourists during the monsoon season. More than 500 tourists visited the park on the first day. Five tourism zone of the tiger reserve including Garjia, Bijarani, Dhela, Jhirna and Pakhon were opened this afternoon for day visits for the entire year as said the park director Rahul.
On the other hand, tourism business in Ramnagar is expected to increase with the opening of the park. On Tuesday, Forest Minister Harak Singh Rawat welcomed the tourists at Bijrani Gate and gave entry to the tourists for jungle safari in the park. He said that Corbett is the first choice of the people. Employment will be provided by increasing more tourism activities in Corbett.
He said that the Dhela, Jhirna, Bijrani, Garjia and Pakhron ranges of Corbett have been opened for day visit. Park director Rahul said that more than 500 tourists have come to visit the park on the first day. There was a lot of enthusiasm in the morning and evening shifts. Some people also saw a tiger in the Bijrani range. Corbett has been opened for the first time in the monsoon season. All arrangements have been made for the safety of the tourists.
