Corbett: Tourists Will Do Night Stay at Tree house in Phato Zone

There is good news for nature and environment lovers. Tourists will be able to spend the night in the tree house built in the Phato Eco Tourism Zone under Ramnagar Forest Division Terai West. Apart from this, tourists will now be able to get online permits for day safaris.

Tourists will now be able to spend the night in a tree house after a day safari in the Phato Eco Tourism Zone under Terai West Forest Division. The Phato Zone administration has sent a proposal to the government on this. Along with this, the government has also been asked to fix the rate of night stay in the tree house. Apart from this, now tourists will be able to do online booking of phato zone on the lines of Corbett Park. Till now tourists are getting only offline permits. Due to which the tourists are facing a lot of difficulty in queuing up.

Phato Tourism Zone has become a favourite destination for tourists in Corbett National Park. In this zone, the tourists are closely watching the wildlife. The enthusiasm of the tourists can be gauged from the fact that from January 2022 to October i.e. in 10 months, the revenue department has received more than 1 crore. In view of this, Terai Western is now going to increase more modern facilities in it.

Giving detailed information, DFO of Terai Western Prakash Arya said that on the lines of Corbett Park, online booking will be started soon in this zone. He said that tourists are standing in queues to get their permits, due to which the tourists are facing problems. Currently there are 2 tree houses in the phato zone. Forest department is working on fixing night stay rates. Along with this, a proposal to build 2 more tree houses is also being sent to the government. He said that soon after the rates are fixed, tourists will be able to enjoy the tree house built in the phato zone.

The photo tourism zone falling under Ramnagar Terai West has started in January 2022. Many types of flora, wildlife and fauna are present in the photo zone.
