Covering about 1318 sq. km, Corbett National Park has remained a popular destination for wildlife lovers since its establishment. In order to witness the flora, fauna and avifauna species of Corbett, tourists need to book safaris of -
• Jeep
• Canter
• Elephant

These are only mode of transport, once you have entered the premises of Corbett’s safari zones. All the safari vehicles are officially registered with the national park authorities. Private vehicles are not permitted inside Corbett. Visitors can enter the national park only in authorised jeeps or canters after completing entry formalities at the designated gates. Stepping out of the vehicle during a jeep or canter safari is not allowed. Walking or trekking inside Corbett National Park is strictly restricted, except in a few approved areas. Clearly marked routes are maintained for safari vehicles to ensure safe wildlife viewing, and driving outside these routes is not permitted. For safety reasons, vehicle movement inside the park is strictly prohibited after sunset.
